Queensland small businesses can now apply for a share of up to $20 million through Round 3 of the Secure Communities Partnership Program. Whether you run a shopfront in Coomera, a workshop in Yatala or a mobile business out of a ute, there’s funding to help protect your premises, gear and vehicles.
Small Business Security Grants
- $1,500 to $20,000 for upgrades such as alarms, cameras, lighting, fencing and access controls
- Covers lockable storage and immobilisers for work vehicles, with mobile businesses eligible for the first time
- Open to eligible small business owners, landlords and lessors
- Closes 5pm Friday 23 April 2027, unless funding runs out earlier
Shared Security Grants
- $20,000 to $200,000 for projects that benefit multiple small businesses in one location, such as a shopping strip or industrial park
- Worth a conversation with your neighbours in precincts like Yatala and Stapylton, or the shopping strips around Coomera, Pimpama and Helensvale
- Closes 5pm Friday 29 January 2027
Good to know
- Successful applicants must contribute at least half the total project cost
- You no longer need to operate in a crime-impacted area to be eligible
- Small Business Security Grants can close early if funding is exhausted, so don’t leave it to the last minute
